he wants to make more of a paycheck. if its just a door that needs replacement than thats all that should be removed and replaced. if he does more than he’s doing something in the U.S. considered illegal and could be sued for making the owner or person pay more than they need to. a mechanics job is to fix what is broken and what hes told to fix, not worry about paint, thats an autobody specialists job at a paint shop. if its the Holden company or out here in the states GM they can paint it for you charging more or if you know how you can paint it yourself. they just need to install it really. paint is your option.

its possible on such an impact that the door post will be damaged and needs replaced….the floor can also crumple slightly,that’s possibly why…..
