I’ve never done any car repairs before but I’m recently retired and looking for hobbies. I think fixing old cars might be fun. Any ideas on how to get started? In addition to no experience, I have no tools and I park on the street so I don’t even have a driveway to work in. My own car isn’t in need of repair at the current time. Its just a skill I’d like to learn.

Starting from scratch? Go to your local community college.

You might be able to join a club that restores older cars or something like that. In your case, because of no experience, you will be buying coffee, handing people things and all you can do is watch, and help only when they ask. It’s a start if they allow you in the club.
