I just got my wii back from nintendo after I sent it in because I kept getting disc read errors on super smash bros brawl. When I got it back yesterday, I found out the game still didn’t work, I kept getting the errors. After trying and trying, I finally got it to load the game successfully a few times before it stopped working again. I would think that the actual disc is defective except I played it on my friend’s wii and it worked fine. So, what should I do?
What’s the problem, the wii or the disc?
Yeah I have a US copy of brawl and a US wii. And I did update the firmware.

Contact Nintendo & demand a new Wii as yours is clearly defective. Make sure they transfer your virtual console games to your new system.

Your wii cannot read the disc properly, if u got ur wii launch date your wii is proberbly full of dust. open up your console and get the dust out. (i wish i had Brawl…….but its not out here……..)

    What version do you have?
    Did you update your firmware?
Do you have a US/CAN Wii and Game?

If you have all of these and your Wii still doesn’t work, then your Wii is defective.

You need to call Nintendo before you do anything so you can talk to a representative about what can be done. Your Wii is probably still under warranty, even if you aren’t you can get a 90 day free extended warranty just by making a screen name on Nintendo’s website so do that if you need. Then call Nintendo and you will most likely get a new Wii.
