A taxi driver decided to switch lanes without looking today on a roundabout and as i was right up the side of him, he smashed into my car and the whole side of my car is smashed up.. I went mental, i was screaming and yelling and everything.. but then i calmed down and realised it was just an accident and my insurance would sort out the damage as it was HIS fault not mine..
About an hour ago, his taxi driver boss rang me up and said “so i believe the accident was your fault” i said no of course it wasnt my fault.. etc etc.. and explained.. He said “ok i understand, i will question him and get back to you later tonight”

Well its nearly 11pm and he still hasnt called..

If this man decides to blame me, what option do i have?? There was a passenger in the taxi but i believe they are friends as he used her phone to take photos of the scene..

I am so worried incase they say its my fault and he claims off my insurance.. If this happens, i will have a smashed up car that i’m liable to repair myself (brand new car, bought 9 weeks ago!.. cant afford to repair it.. only insured third party, fire & theft) and also my insurance will be so high next year as its my first year of driving and i am only a 17 year old.

My question is.. what are my options? What can i do to prove it wasnt my fault?

Thanks so much!

Oh.. nobody stopped their cars except us involved in the crash, so there are no witnesses..

I was at work and i parked my car with the car topper lit, (as requested by my employer) after parking and locking my car and walking into the shop a total of five minutes to get rerouted i came out to see my window was smashed in and my gps was stolen. my boss mentions as we were filling out the police report that this has happened 4-5 times before with pizza drivers being robbed. the area is not terribly well lit and there are no security cameras I was unaware they had previous break ins. as a driver i dont make much let alone to pay for the cost of the repairs and replacing the gps. when I confronted my boss he feels like its not their responsibility to pay for my damages and losses. I feel as if im being more robbed by my own company because they did nothing to prevent further loss. my store is in a plaza but i feel it should be under an insurance claim of the pizzeria, god forbid i go out and get attacked again this time to my person, im aware we are not permitted to carry a weapon, is the company liable under nys common law or Respondeat Superior. seeing as how im representing them on their time in their plaza ???

i bought a used (2006) car less then 2 months ago and already brought it in for repairs. 1st it was an electrical problem that was fixed. now it was the horn and wheel balance. when the guy took a look at my car he said the suspension is screwed, the horn is smashed and bolts are coming out everywhere! and its not covered under warranty! does any part of the lemon law apply? when i bought it, the dealer told me no accidents and the carfax report said no accidents and no problems!! what do i do?! is the dealer in breach on contract? does lemon law help? what about the uniform commercial code? anything? im in florida, if it helps.
