So I have a Macbook (without) Apple care. And i would like to know how much it would cost to have it repaired or if i would be better off buying the new one??
Hey frends, thanx for the response in my previous questions. I just got the insurance appraiser check my car and she gave me an estimation for repairs at first and when i was on my way for repairs, she called me again and told me to not to do repairs. I had to come back home again, and it was really annoying. The problem of the vehicle after it was smahed in the front part was that:
-> bumpers n headlights, grills, radiators, needed to be replaced,
-> my car can’t be driven normally, i have to hit full throttle to move the car forward while in “DRIVE” ( automatic transmission).
So, i dont know why they told me they’re gonna total it out? I’m just afraid that they might try to give me low compensation telling that it is rebuilt/salvage title, but my car had no major problems, all 4 tires haven’t been driven more than 900 miles, new hoses just one week ago, and it was running good and the mileage was also okay, only the title is rebuilt or salvage whatever, but the car has been working fine. Can I dispute if they give me too low price ? Which pricing type should i look at kelly’s blue book to compare it with that insurance company’s compensation for totalling out my honda civic 97 ? Please frends, I really am in a mess, I can’t accept if they try to give too low compensation. Let me tell ya, the repairs estimation was $ 1178 and that also without estimating the unknown problem with “DRIVE”.
Please help me out friends, I’m waiting for your responses and advice.

i’m so sorry i missed one thing, ,, the insurance company told me that i cud keep the car (maybe they dont wanna deal with salvage title??duhh) and they’re gonna total it out and i can decide wat to do with the compensation, whether to fix or buy new one…. sorry about missing this info..

On March 23, two big branches of city (Palo Alto, CA) owned tree in our front yard fell and smashed my windshield. It also caused dents all over my car. My neighbor across the street witnessed the whole thing and were not only shocked about what they saw and heard, but also worried that their two little boys could get hurt as they play on this quiet street a lot. It worries me as I also have two little kids. We took the advice from the neighbor to file a claim against city for the cost of damage repair.
After two months, we received a letter from city and its “claims adjuster” consultant indicating our claim is rejected. Here is what said in the letter:
“We have received the report we requested from the City’s Tree Department. That report indicates that the City had no notice of dangerous condition of the tree. The City did not cause the tree limb to fall and had no way of knowing that it would fall. Based on these facts, your claim is denied.”…
What should we do? Is it fair? Thx!
Thanks much for your answers. If City is not responsible for any damage caused by city-owned trees, and I cannot get rid of the tree because it’s city-owned, what should I do to protect my property as we all know it will fall again sooner or later. This time is my car and hopefully my little kids will never get hurt because of the tree.
I thought I would only use my car insurance when I am the one causing accident (or to cover those without insurance). Why should I use my insurance for this incident?

Lots of luck with home brew on my 1.5 psp but it fell about 2 feet and hit the floor and the inner screen busted and i have no warranty…does sony do repairs?
I had an iSkin case and the phone fell face down on the sidewalk and the entire screen is smashed. The phone still works though. But I feel like this phone is way to fragile, so I’m considering just breaking the contract and getting a Droid. What are my options though? Can I get a replacement screen or at least have it repaired? Are there other phones from ATT that I should consider. I am aware that my replacement iPhone is going to cost a shitload of money, so that’s not even in the cards.

My car was parked in a private parking area and the front part was smashed by a driver when he was backing a van. I have already gone filed a claim with his insurance company and the company has already assigned an adjuster to me and he is gonna call me today, i havent talked to him at all, i just left voice mails to call me back asap. My car’s front part was smashed, rightside headlight was out of place / snatched out, grills were torn and some bolts or parts might have fallen down at the accident spot. Should i demand for repair or total my vehicle ? My classes are gonna start from Tuesday so i’m in a deep deep trouble now, i dont have any rides. I have these questions :
1. I have permit but the accident happened while the car was parked, so is there any problem for me? cuz all fault was of the other party.
2. If they provide me with a rental and i dont have the license, but my best friend/ roommate does, can we take the rental car on his driver license and he n i will use the car to go to college? is it compulsory for the rental to be on my name?
3. will the insurance company give at least some downpayment for totalling the vehicle because I really need to buy another car if i have to because i have to go college 4 days a week. so frends, u can figure out how much i need a car.
