You haven’t called your insurance yet. Get off the puter and call them. If you don’t have insurance then better hope the person that hit your car does.

Contact the police and get the name of the driver’s insurance company. Contact this insurance company and file a claim.

If the drunk driver has no insurance things will get a little more difficult.

If you have full coverage insurance on your car this coverage will frequently include “Uninsured Motorist”. Contact your insurance company to see if you have this coverage.

If you don’t have Uninsured Motorist coverage, you will want to contact a lawyer. But this may not really do you all that much good. You will win in court. But the type of person that drives without insurance usually doesn’t have very much money or assets. So even though you win, you have a difficult time collecting.
