Go see a lawyer. Nobody likes legal trouble. More often than not if your only asking them to fix it or replace it they will give it to you. It’s only when you start making stupid demands that they will fight you on it. I had a problem with my partners motorbike getting damaged and we went to the local politician and he wrote a letter and we got our money that we were owed. So doing things like this does work. If by rights you shouldn’t pay then don’t. Take it further.
Have you placed a complaint with KIA customer service department? Not at the dealership but with the actual manufacturer. Go to their online website and you should be able to place a complaint about the whole situation. If you are still making payments on it make sure to keep them up or they’ll never give you any satisfaction. (This is assuming that you financed through them.) KIA makes a big deal about how wonderful their service is so if you are not given any good solutions from them you might seek out your local consumer advocate. Here in the USA many local TV stations like to do little reports on behavior such as this to warn people off of certain businesses. This may also make KIA start to give you what you deserve.

Threaten to take them to small claims court costs about £10 this might make them think of costs take a look
